Massacre of the Druze

Mini-blog: Jihadists are slaughtering Druze in their hundreds. Where's the outrage?

New videos have surfaced in the last few hours showing armed Syrian jihadists screaming ‘are you Muslim or Druze?!’, before machine-gunning unarmed Druze families in execution-style shootings. Other similar footage out of Syria captures Druze men being forced to jump to their deaths from tall buildings, entire hospital wards full of Druze corpses, elderly Druze citizens humiliated then killed, and a litany of other horrors.

To reiterate: all of this has been captured on film, generally by the murderers themselves who’ve put out statements like the one below referring to Druze as ‘pigs [who have] made two or three billion Muslims [their] enemy.’ I won’t embed the violent clips in this piece but I’ve included the relevant links.

Lovely man. He just wants peace so badly!

Similar atrocities are still being carried out daily.

‘Progressives’, you’ll be surprised to hear, have largely said nothing about this religious-supremacist slaughter of a minority group. Neither have vast numbers of Muslim activists who claim to be so personally affected by ‘events relating to the Islamic world’ yet don’t bat an eyelid about these gruesome crimes, or others like them, carried out in the name of their faith. How odd!
