Campus Fanaticism
How, why and where some of the most privileged people on Earth are cheering on genocidal jihadist barbarism
Columbia University students chanting in support of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
Mothin Ali was just elected as a councillor in the English local elections. He represents the Green Party, whose ‘progressive’ supporters regularly describe virtually anyone they disagree with as ‘racist’, ‘far right’, ‘extremist’ and so on. To mark his victory he screamed ‘Allahu Akbar!’, echoing the precise cry heard by Jewish families moments before they were killed by Hamas, British school kids before they were blown up, French and American journalists before they were beheaded and shot, Yazidi women before they were taken as sex slaves or burned alive…
On October 7, as news broke that Palestinian genocidaires were in the process of carrying out one of the worst acts of racist mass murder in generations, he took to twitter to post ‘White supremacist settler colonialism must end!’ (ie, to celebrate that orgy of death).
Mothin Ali’s battle cry
We’re witnessing the spread of sectarian Islamic norms and practices across parts of the UK and the West. This is blatant to anyone with more than two brain cells, but mention it publicly and you’ll be accused of bigotry and risk being cast out of polite society by the very people who build careers by holding themselves out as ‘anti-racists’. The degree of idiocy and hypocrisy on display boggles the mind.
I’ve written at length elsewhere about the growing threat posed by Islamism. What is noteworthy in this case however is that the fanatic in question is a member of a woke-left party. His election demonstrates in stark terms just how enthusiastically many progressive cultists have aligned themselves with some of the most intolerant political actors imaginable. It comes not long off the back of the Rochdale by-election, in which the Labour Candidate Azhar Ali claimed Israel deliberately allowed the massacre of its own citizens to take place, and which was won by a guy who has been photographed literally cuddling the leaders of Hamas.
This is not merely a British phenomenon by any means. The recent South-Parkian ‘pro-Palestine’ campus protests across North America provide ample evidence that it is far wider spread than that. This article is essentially a list of egregious examples of brainwashed ‘radicals’ espousing views and beliefs that have no place in a tolerant democratic society. I figure having the evidence handily set out in one place might help people counter the aggressive gaslighting one is subjected to by so-called ‘liberals’ and other fake-outraged activists when trying to suggest that there’s something very iffy indeed going on in front of our eyes.
Let’s start with this video of a ‘protester’ in Vancouver shouting ‘Long live October 7!’, and being cheered for doing so. 'Hamas are not terrorists, they're freedom fighters. And they are heroes for a new world...We stand with the Palestinian resistance...' she raves. Onlookers screech in support and, later, repeat her words back to her.
‘What’s the big deal?!’ I hear you say. She’s just a bad egg, in a big crowd of other murderous bad eggs.
Not quite.
Let’s shift focus to Ottowa. Oh look, it’s a man with loudspeaker screaming: 'October 7th proves we're almost free! Long live October 7!'. And oh look, the crowd goes wild (again).
Ottowa’s jihadis
In Australia, same story. Here’s a recording of the leader of the anti-Israel protest camp at Australian National University explicitly endorsing Hamas. To quote Beatrice Tucker of the ‘Student Left Alliance’: ‘Hamas deserves our unconditional support … I will not condemn what Hamas did on October 7!’
Now let’s move to the US, ground zero for authoritarian groupthink. Take a look at this guy outside MIT:
Nothing like a bit of death-worship in the morning
Miss that? I’ll transcribe the best bits.
'When they say all this garbage, all this slander about Hamas, and about the Muslim Brotherhood, and others that are out there fighting the fight...which side are you on? We're on the side of the fighters! (‘fighters’ here means Hamas).
The crowd cheers. This time the speech was taking place at one of the most 'elite' universities in the country. Change of location, but the response is once again the same. Applause and support.
At this point, it’s worth taking a moment to pause and reflect on what these people are explicitly praising. On October 7 2023 Jihadist death squads rampaged through towns and villages in Israel, killing unarmed Jews and Israelis. They burned people alive; tortured, mutilated and beheaded others. They shot hundreds of innocent young people in cold blood - happy, joyful people who were at a festival with friends to dance and listen to music and enjoy life. Their fighters separated family members and murdered parents in front of their kids. They raped and assaulted women next to the corpses of their friends. Palestinians took to the streets in large numbers to spit on the desecrated dead body of a young woman, and to beat up elderly hostages. Others called their parents to say things like ‘mum, Dad, I killed 10 Jews, you’ll be so proud’ (actual quote).
Now back to the list.
Here's Khymani James (he/him/zir), a key player in the Columbia protest, on a Zoom call. I couldn’t be bothered to clip up his whole pathetic rant but here’s a taster of this fine young psychopath holding court. 'Be glad - be grateful - that I'm not out there murdering Zionists...I feel very comfortable, very comfortable, calling for those people to die.'
And here’s Khymani hanging out with Democratic Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who wants to ‘declare racism a public health crisis’.
And here he is shaking hands with Democrat Ilhan Omar, and hugging her daughter.
Fine, but nobody else at Columbia agrees with this sort of thing...that’s just a ‘far right smear’ I hear you say.
Oh wait. Here's a posse of unbearably woke, hyper privileged Columbia students manning a barricade that they've set up to prevent 'Zionists' from moving around campus, while 'Allahu Akbar' rings out in the background. And here are some others telling Jews to ‘go back to Poland’.
And here are some Hezbollah flags being flown at Princeton in an encampment full of ‘LGBTQ allies’. They pop up elsewhere quite frequently, often held aloft by Islamists and sometimes by ‘progressives’.
For reference, this is the head of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah saying, quote: ‘In the case of homosexuality, from the first time even if they (gay people) were unmarried they shall be killed’. The phrase turkeys voting for Christmas comes to mind…
‘We promise to give you your gay rights, just let us chuck all your mates off the nearest building first’
Maybe we should get some ‘diversity experts’ in to teach these people about how to 'check their privilege' and 'fight oppression', surely THAT would convince them to stop cheering on Islamic extremist groups that openly do Hitler salutes?
Oh wait, not so fast, Loyola Law School's 'antiracism fellow' seems to be on video chanting 'get the fuck out of here you ugly ass little Jewish people in this bitch!'. Maybe she’s been studying the work of Google’s former diversity chief who claimed that ‘Jews have an insatiable appetite for war and killing’…
Look, does everybody who disagrees with Israeli policy subscribe to this stuff? No. Should we censor people who do? Also no - indeed, there is an illiberal push to do so under the guide of ‘combatting antisemitism’ in certain circles that should be strongly resisted in my view. Bar calls for actual violence, free speech should exist for everybody.
But as I’ve put it elsewhere, ‘you need not blindly support everything Israel does (I do not by any means), oppose a ceasefire (I spend sleepless nights wrestling with this, and on balance think I support one myself though I’m unsure), or be unmoved by the horrendous loss of life in Gaza to see that many of Israel’s loudest critics are not the honest, decent, peace-loving actors they seek to present themselves as being.’
Islamists like Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups and regimes hang gay people, put ‘death to America, a curse upon the Jews’ in their slogans, murder ‘infidels’, blow up and subjugate Christians, are slaughtering black Africans as we speak….I needn’t go on. They are the enemies of the free world and of civilisation itself, and the biggest virtue signallers on the planet are flocking to their defence. Perma-outraged ‘activists’ who rage against micro-aggressions are siding with groups who are currently keeping literal slaves, torturing and murdering Jews, and stoning women to death. People who celebrated when a previously-existing ceasefire was broken without warning by a Muslim death cult as part of its supremacist war of conquest, and who now march under the banners of militias who have vowed to commit October 7 ‘over and over again’, are being allowed to hold themselves out as ‘pacifists’ and ‘anti-imperialists’.
You really can’t make this stuff up.
If it wasn’t so serious, it would almost be funny.

FURTHER THOUGHTS
I want to expand on the free speech issue that I touch on in the piece, and take a look at some examples of media bias in the coverage of these events…
